Budget Committee

The district sought out volunteers to participate on a May/June budget committee to inform the district administration’s recommendation to the Governing Board regarding utilization of funds for teacher salary and other maintenance and operations budget adjustments for the 2018-2019 school year. The committee included representation of the range of teachers, classified staff, and administration in the district. Other stakeholders representing the community also are participating in the committee work. The primary objective is to inform budget decisions on new funding designated for teacher salaries, and secondary objective, as time permits, is to inform the use of new funding designated for restored district additional assistance (capital). 

The turnaround for the committee work is fairly quick as the Governing Board will approve the SY2018 budget on June 18th. The schedule was determined to meet on the following dates from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
