Early Entrance to Kindergarten
Early Entrance to Kindergarten:

Students who are 5 years old by August 31, 2017, may enroll in kindergarten. For children who have birthdays between September 1 and December 31, parents may consider early entrance to kindergarten.

The Liberty Elementary School District administers an early entrance to kindergarten test. These are the testing dates:

May 25,
June 5, and
July 6.

If you are interested in having your child tested for early entrance to kindergarten, please contact Reese Ready at 623-474-6655 to set up an appointment for one of the testing dates. We will call to remind you of your date and time.

A parent or guardian must accompany the child to the testing. While the child is being tested, the parent will take part in Parent University, which will give the parent information about the assessment, scoring and notification process.   Parents must bring the child's birth certificate, evidence of residency, and the parent's photo identification. The child cannot be tested unless these documents are provided.

Children who qualify may enroll for kindergarten and MUST attend kindergarten Jump Start during the week of July 17, 2017.

Parents will be notified within 10 business days of testing whether their child qualifies for early entrance to kindergarten. All decisions made by the testing team are final.
